Even though entering their first-ever European adventure, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Without key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a commanding win that virtually guarantees them a place in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further victory in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS ought to be enough to secure straight passage to the last 16, particularly following a previous stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Moment
This match offered a platform for some of Palace's fringe players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after joining on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, finding the net for the second game in succession.

Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest key players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also blazed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for improvement in his game.
A solitary concern for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise positive evening for the visiting side.
